Here are some TrackIR profiles to try !
« on: May 13, 2011, 02:22:21 AM »
Ok, everyone says try this or do that but let's put some profiles out there for a noob to use.  :joystick:
Here is mine Aces High II  It is an .xml file and will
need to be inserted into your Natural point directory under the profiles folder. Once there it will show up on your
titles tab in TrackIR. To view it in the Profiles tab just select it from the Profile drop down bar.Select it for Aces High and VIOLA, you have a profile to tweak from
One other tid-bit that helped me, & I think it is include with the profile, was to uncheck the TrueView under the motion adjustment area.

I would like to encourage anyone who has a profile they think is useful to please submit it for use by others. It
may stop all the head-banging that is occurring on desktops around the world :rock

I have one of the older TrackIR 3 Pro units, so I use a profile for TrackIR version 4 software.

Here is one for TrackIR 5 with the Track Clip Pro. Don't know how well it will work with the Hat Clip.

Just to specify, I am using TrackIR 4 camera and Proclip with version 5.1.200(build 9414)  The speed is set to 1 and smooth is 25
Something that is very helpful is that I have a button set to "View Tracker Center"

Neat thing about this profile is I can look back and then up in a very fluid motion. Also, I can look forward up then around in the up postion.
Also have a neat pano feature when the head view window is up in the TrackIR program. In the upper left corner is a display drop down menu that has an option for "show Pano". This is a pretty cool for getting a feel for what you might see in the cockpit.  If you do not have it, let me know I will see if I can include it in my download :salute

Finally loaded it up and WOW.  That's a nice profile notch.  MUCH better visibility than my old one but it's a tad 'too fast' for me if you know what I mean.  I'll probably have to take the sensitivity down just a bit or practice about 30 hours to get used to not snapping my head around on the merge and wind up looking back at my headrest.

I've got the ministick on my throttle slaved to the move head right, move head left, move head forward, move head back, and I can REALLY see out the back now.

Thanks brother <S>

You're welcome, bro.  :aok   When you get the tweak done, post your profile back here & let's see if it is what others might need.

ps  that is for a triple 20" screen setup(60" total) so that may be why it may be a tad quick :devil

I'm contemplating going three screen just for the eye candy.  Problem is I'm not sure exactly where I'd put the third one.  But yep I'm going to be tweaking just a tad otherwise it's freaking PERFECT!

Thanks man <S>

Dicto you should put them so you have all 3 side by side and set it up that way. triple monitor with track ir is awesome. I made a short video of it here . The only problem is with it, how I had to sit messed my line up of cam and pro clip.
