Also do not change the key mapping in Aces High. IMO A lot of people do this when it simply isn't necessary and it ends up making things way more confusing than it has to be.
Interesting point, would you care to give an example ? Personally I have remapped at least 4 keys in AH because it was not possible to do what I wanted with my CH gear.
Can you please tell me how you would get the Toe Axis on CH pedals to act as accelerater(W) and brake(S) without remapping and without losing the function of wheel brakes (C & V) in aircraft ?
Also explain how I can Mix button assignment for a controller in AH with mapping one in CH control manager on the same device. Because I don't know how.
I am also able to map three straight ahead views using the CH Control Manager. Dead ahead, Ahead over the left side of the engine cowling (Not ahead and left) and Ahead over the right side of the cowling. Those cowl views only otherwise achievable by sitting up and moving the head to one side which could get a bit messy in the heat of a battle.
If you have tried a map I uploaded , it was for others to mess with. You would not be able to use it without discussing the settings I did in AH to make it work. Such as head saved positions and a few key remaps.
The point I am making is that, as an example, the CH Fighterstick can be mapped entirely within AH which is fine if you are happy with that. Unfortunately to do some of the things I do I can only use CH Control Manager and the moment that happens My fighterstick will no longer show as a fighter stick in AH. It will show as CH Device 1 and none of the buttons will be visible as a controller in AH, only the Analog Axis. Although I am sure you know otherwise which if why I am asking you. How!
