CH Pro-pedals GV accelerate/ Brake and Steering
« on: May 24, 2011, 03:37:17 PM »
A few enquiries about this, so here goes

You already have the easy steering of a GV with the Pedals on the rudder axis

Getting the Toe axis to work for the GV accelerate and brake is possible. Before I start, the downside is you are going to change them from analog axix to a key press functions. So keep off the toes when the radio bar is active! You also need to be using CH Control Manager for your Pedals

Remove the analog toe brakes assignment for aircraft in the AH Controller Map. We will use the default C and V keys instead

Remap  GV Accelerate to V
Remap  GV Brake /Reverse to C

Using the CH Control Manager in Map Mode
In the CH Map uncheck DX Mode on both Toe Axis's
Set right Toe to 1 increment and enter v on both inc and dec
Set left Toe to 1 increment and enter c on both inc and dec
Please note that increment 1 has a special function that makes the toe work as press & hold until released, So once at the speed you want just release the toe.

The range sight used to be mapped to C and V so remap it where ever you want. Currently I have mapped it to my CH throttle axis instead (in AH Mode 2)
Initially I cleared the WSAD GV keys and used A and D for the range sight instead - That works to

So now you can use your Toes in both aircraft and GV's
If we ever get accelerate &  brake/reverse with an axis option in AH you can forget all this and go back to use as axis

I have a correction to make  :frown:
That bit quoted works, but is not perfect. I should have used NULL on both dec boxes

Latest patch! - Now you can assign the toe axis to the GV accelerate and Slow/Reverse functions.  WTG  HTC!

Here's how I have mine configured.  Keep in mind my pedals are 'reversed' in aces high in that when released they are at max value, and when depressed they are at min value so you may need to adjust yours accordingly:

I simply pressed my toe brake to see which of the Min, Mid, or Max axis applied. The one you want gets highlighted. Mine just happen to on the Max settings when applied (CH Pro-pedals). Since I just hold down my pedal to either get to full speed or stop, I don't bother mapping the  Full Speed and Stop functions, Just the Accelerate and Slow down/Reverse functions.

If mapping those exteme functions works for you then fine.
