Who was the first?
« on: May 28, 2011, 09:07:43 AM »
This may be private company info and thus an un-answerable question, but I was wondering who was the first non-company pilot to log in and grace the skies of AH?

 :lol Probably.

I was reading Guppy35's post about his old post there and I thought, "Ya know, lot's of people have been here a long time. I wonder who the original trailbreaker(s) was/were."

I can remember back in Oct or Nov of '99 logging in to test a new PC I built for my Father-in-Law ( was an Intel 333 celeron with 64 meg ram and a 16MB VC...  AH was only like 16 mb or 22 mb download total then ),
the people logged on that day was hitech, NB, Heater, Nomde, Lonz ( BT ? ), myself, and several others that I knew who they was but can't remember the exact names right now..... maybe Frenchy was there that day as well and Boozr from the 4th FG / MOL......

I remember that day specifically because Nomde asked me why I was flying as TequilaC instead of TC............ I don't recall AH having any type of auto take off crap back then  :joystick:  took some getting used to launching a plane  ;)

"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

I started in 96 and knew of people who flew in the 80s somewhere online. I thought back then, damn 10 years doin this? They're nuts!

Here I am 15 yrs later.
