Just telling how the REAL a/c did it. Nothing more, nothing less krusty. :neener:

Steele, on the real (bolded so krusty doesn't get confused again) a/c there was one button (front of grip) that fired the cowl guns and the inner wing cannons. Another button (top of grip) fired the outer wing cannons. Press both to get all 6 guns firing.
Even better!  I bet HTC could make it fire this way in 5 minutes flat! Sure would be a nice EZ change for added realism, and while they have the file cracked open, get the weight down to where it should be.   :AOK
Edit: I bet most of us 190 guys would be happy to just  have the guns fire as U described when carrying the 30 mils, even if it still fires the AH way when carrying all 20 mil.  (Save those taters for sure shots)

The Kanonenvogel had 6 rounds per pod, this is not even close to being open for debate.

I seem to recall you could switch the 20mms off if you only wanted to fire the MGs.

While it would be nice to save some of those 30mms, why? You want to use them most. I think folks get the impression they are only for bombers, and want to only use 20mm for fighters, but frankly that's the wrong idea. I use them on fighters all the time. They hit quite readily and a single fireball is all you need to see to know you've hit your prey.

Funny thing is I seem to get more fighter kills off 30mm in the 190a8 than in the 109K4 or G14. The trajectory seems easier.

You remember wrong, as usual. In the real a/c, the cowl and wing root guns are on the same circuit.

Yes, but I thought there was a breaker where you could flip off certain gun banks so they wouldn't fire when you pressed that single trigger. Such a thing is common in a number of other craft and I thought (again "thought" -- not totally sure) you could do the same in the FW.

Well, according to electrical diagram: Gerätebank rechts,  P2 for MG17, P1 for wing root 151/20 and P? for wing 151/20. I think those are the circuit breakers and were not usually used to select weapons, just to power them on or off for loading and maintenance. The actual arming switches are on the same panel as ammo counters (SZKK 4) and they are usually grouped in the same manner as the weapons are fired, that is fuselage+wingroot together and outboard separately.

The quick answer is no but trust me, you'll know when the 30's are gone.

Agree, the Distinctive thump of 30s is heard for I think the first 200-250 rounds you will fire through that particular gun package. As you get to arond 450-48 cannon rnds remaining, you are now at the point where you only have 20mm left. Im sure most would agree with this statement. And it does show only 2 tyoes of rounds....MG on top and Cannon on bottom and its more or less just listening to what is being fired lol. I would say ask BlackAdr if you want to know more on the A8, he would be the one I see flying it most.

Me too, Krusty. In fact, I've read 190A7 pilot reports of firing MG's only to get a good bead on an enemy
