Sun is kind of an integral part of this solar system we happen to be living in. And it is also something that was and is used to an advantage in air combat.

The problem I have with the sun is it seems awful big in your windscreen.  And the moon looks like the Deathstar coming in for a landing.  Both are larger than life.

I've looked at the sun in AH and compared it by looking at the sun outside my window and have concluded that the AH sun is nowhere near bright enough and needs to be turned up.

I'm not even feeling any heat from it yet.

Please HTC, turn the sun up so that we have a more realistic simulation.

Thank you.

The AH sun is much brighter than the real thing... it shines trough the mountains:

Well, the shining thru mountains is just plain wrong and needs to be fixed, but its brightness in the sky is weak compared to what I'm looking at out my window when looking straight at it.  Makes my eyes water, it's so bright. :cry

The brightness is an integral part of the game.  the size of the sun... well... if it is only a visual annoyance, then really it isnt a big deal.

I kinda wish the sun did not shine through the mountains AND that those mountains that are in Looshy's pictures produced a shadow, but I dont know how taxing those large shadows would be on the game or player's computers.

HTC spent months on the coad to properly simulate the real-life illusion due to atmospheric effects and the trick the human brain plays on sun and moon sizes. I doubt they'd scrap all that work...
