Your monitor is not as bright as the sun.

I find it amusing that someone needed this explained to them :aok

Well, there is a difference between absolute magnitude and apparent magnitude.  ;)

I have a couple of beefs with the Sun in AH:

1.The pilots had irises, sunglasses, thumbs, & eyes that can squint. AH pilots don't.

2. The problem with the shadows on objects appears to be fixed (I pointed out a while back and was fixed soon after), but when looking at the sun the cockpit instrument panel should appear to get dimmer and NOT brighter. This is due to having an iris. When looking at a bright light your iris closes (you might say it ain't so...smoe), therefore, light off other objects will appear to dim.
