What exactly is fun about a death star entering a fur-ball or any fight?  As a fighter that has to worry about other fighters trying to shoot you down what exactly is going to make it more fun by having a bunch of stationary guns shooting at you no matter what maneuver you perform?  Between fighting the guy you are engaged with, the HO fly by-s, the 190s and 51s coming in burning from the re-entry I think it is fun enough lol.  How will another 8 or 10 guns shooting at you enhance it?  Think realistically, the buff will come in last due to its speed and just end the fight.

Just another way to pick and ruin fights.  There is a reason HT did not implement them  :aok

 :D deldalos  your missing the point, the fun is for the occupants of the death star, roaring into their mics about the poor sapp (not the Sapp we all know here) that happens to wonder into gun range, or the guy that sees a lone buff and thinks he has an easy kill, only to realize to late as his wing folds in half, what just happened.

I think the import thing here is that adding this feature would just add an extra dimension and more fun to the game.  :salute

Yes.

It's not an either/or issue. Or maybe it is.

It's, "I can have a formation of three bombers that I can gun myself" or "I can fly a single bomber that I cannot gun and need gunners to defend myself".

So, if you cannot get any gunners, at all, you would be pretty screwed.
