World of Warplanes
« on: July 04, 2011, 11:51:34 AM »
Not sure if this has been talked about on here already or not but I just saw this posted about on my Facebook page from "World of Tanks" that they are developing a new game for the series called "World of Warplanes", I guess it will be similar to "WOT" in that you earn points & gold to upgrade and buy new vehicles.  It says in the article that you'll be able to use the gold from your "WOT" account in "World of Warplanes".  I'll definitely be giving it a try when they come out with it to see how the game play & modeling is.

They also mentioned in the article that after "World of Warplanes" they might develop a game called "World of Battleships".

This was posted a few weeks ago on here, if I recall not many people liked the idea, but I have no idea I don't play WOT anyway.

Arcade flight model.  It's going to be just WoT but with planes, so don't hold your breath for a flight model on par with AH.

The graphics will also not be on par with Ah either.  They will be multitudes of times better.

Flight models, realism, and experience are important critea for me.  WoT had great graphics.  But I really didnt like the gamey game game feel of it.

If WoP (and no, this time it does not mean Italians W/O papers  :) ) is similar it will be very dissapointing as well.

WoB might be another story.

I dont see it doing AH any favors.  After playing WoT for about a month I cant even stand to up a GV in AH any more.

A pretty looking game doesn't make the game any good, just makes it look pretty.

Yeah I think the Battleship's game will be cool, starting out with some kind small ship to fight with & building your way up to monster size Battleships with 16in guns on it's deck & getting into large scale Navel engagements.
