I saw a show on the Shelby Mustang, how they modify it. It was great. They assign two men teams and they take ownership of the product.

just an FYI...the boss302 mustangs that you see racing, are built inhouse, with the exception of the rollcage. it gets built oin the assembly line, shipped out, rollcage welded in, then comes back to the auto alliance plant, and is then built there.

A very much toned down version (no rectangle port heads w/2.35 intakes and no solid lifters and mild compression)
..but .. what a toy to start with :)

Interesting to note the difference tween the bore x stroke on this venerable Rat compared to the LS based 427ci motors.

i'll see your 427, and raise you this 427, but i'll toss in a 521.....and a couple sub-400 engines making the same power as that 427...... :devil

simply click on any of the engines, and you get the options......and prices.  :devil :aok

what are the professions involved in the population of the game? there are some big money things done to brand new cars...

Lead Test Driver for Roush Racing last year.    I still get to sneak into MIS on "track days" and drive some of the good stuff.

Aye CAP, I cannot beleive GM is toning down the animal cracker that the Z Rat motor was..
Gm should call you or me to consult, why go through all that limited edition tooling collector item stuff and only make a creampuff 427?

Next they'll come out with a 'commemorative CAN-AM Rat' that makes 400hp .. ROFL.
(those monsters ran 750hp, Hilborn injected, 13:1 compression .. to *start* with..
..one would overshadow the ZL-1 on an engine stand in my living room :)

(as if it would live there long, LOL)

-Frank (they ran them in the Chapparall LeMans cars, truly crazy fun cars I have read)

they probably hired some tard that used to work for ford, from the era of the sn95 mustang.......ford did a good job of effing up the stang back then. same dood's probably effing up gm's crate motors right now.

any of these engine assemblies that any of them are selling should have at least an option for balls to the walls performance, and then something mild, for the sissies with trailer queens to use.
