I posted this in the wishlist thread about the rearm and repair of aircraft, but I think it is applicable here as it has to do with injuries sustained by the pilot during combat and the manner in which medical attention was administered to these men during wartime, and how HiTech can more accurately model this into this game.
In my extensive research I have uncovered a few vague references to pilots having returned to combat status with remarkably short, one might even say "instantaneous" recovery times, no doubt due to the amazing fighting spirit of these warriors and their call to perform their duties to country and comrades, as well as due to the remarkable healing power of the medicines and recouperative regimines being pioneered at the time. This morning I stumbled upon what I feel is the "Holy Grail" of historical photographic evidence that should finally provide backing to the often requested ability to administer "first aid" of sorts to cartoon pilots when wounded in game......
I propose, based on the evidence below........
that spinach be supplied to pilot wounded fliers while on the rearm pad.

I mean, it really did work. "Strong to the finish" as they used to say!
