Those hits he took didn't appear to damage him.  If my aim didn't suck so bad, could've had double digit kills there.  All that red actually made it hard to make out the planes.  Maybe I need glasses.  :old:  Frame rate went to a slide show here and there.  I counted at least 35 sets of Lancs in the film.  :O

I just checked it TUK, it works.  I will email it to you if you can't make it work.  Definitely worth watching.

Ahhh.

The old Million Lancaster Mission.  It's always a crowd favorite.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I hope this doesn't come off as some anti-horde whine, that is not my intent.   I'm hoping someone can help me understand why take 43 formations of Lancasters to hit an airfield?  Seems to me that is a lot more than you need to completely level the airfield and the town several times over on one pass.  The people at the front of the group get to drop some bombs and blow things up but the folks at the back are going to be left with little to do.

Wouldn't it make more sense to take two or more smaller groups and hit multiple targets? Or go for the strats where there are more objects to destroy?

Again I don't mean this as a critique, or complaint I'm just trying to understand the appeal and enjoyment for a lot of the guys that were bringing up the rear.

A horde of 43 chick16s get tierd quickly but a horde of 129 Lancs is great gameplay in my book, fun all round. Cool to see and awesome to dive into.  :aok
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

The word that may be causing the disconnect is highlighted.  Sometimes, it's not supposed to make sense, or be efficient.  Wish I'dve been on the defending side for that.  Looks like it would've been a lot of fun.

Well, off the top of my head, I can think of a couple.  Seeing that many buffs in one place is pretty neat.  They also probably would've got to shoot at interceptors as well.  Depending on survival rate, perhaps they went on to another base to schwack it as well.
