Sad times. Thoughts and prayers to the victims and survivors.   :(

I heard on the news they made an arrest at the scene of the shooting. I hope they can get some answers.

Latest reports are much much worse then previously thought.  They are saying 80 dead on the island where the shooting happened.

The suspect appaently was dressed as a police officer and claimed he was at the island to add security in the wake of the bombing.  So, the bombing was definitely part of his overall plan.  I suspect that he expected to kill more people with the bomb then he did.  It is simply shocking that he killed as many as he did on the island.

The vast majority of those on the island were just kids at a summer camp.  I am sure there were some adult running it, but it isn't the kind of place anybody is going to have weapons.  Also, there was no way off of the island other than to try to swim the 3/4th of a mile to the mainland.

That is correct. Noone at a political youth camp would have weapons. Horrible day and it keeps getting worse as numbers are beening adjusted upwards. 80 will not be the final count.

I is terrible, looks like we got a "Oklahoma bomber" over here aswell. Diffrence was that it was a decoy for the shooting of all of the kids at the summer camp Island.
He had 2 hours chasing and shooting people at the Island, my heart is crying today.

I dont understand how much damage and death, one nazi idiot actually can be able to perform.

Our thoughts are with you and your country. Terrible news. If anyone there knows SAJ73 outside of the game please see if he and his family are safe. I have tried to contact him but don't have a phone number.

I can't imagine what those kids were going through on that island.

The Norwegian PM was due to make a speech there and was the most likely target.   It sickens me to think that the people who end up dying are always the most vulnerable innocent civilians in the wrong place at the wrong time.

My thoughts go out to their families and friends.

I am allright nrshida, shocked but allright.. I still have not got the grasp around the total facts here, its too unbelieveable.. 99 dead so far, mostly young teens in a summer camp?! What's happening to the world we live in?!

But the politics in Norway are partly to blame I am sure, this was just one person that got enough.. Imagine when the entire nation decides they've had it?!?  :uhoh

92 so far. Long before the entire nation decides they have had it the government will be replaced BY ELECTION. This was one or maybe a few nutters. Even thinking that more of this will follow when more have had it with the current politics is taking it very far. This incident could have happened even if only ONE nutter had it with the current politics. It _only takes one_
