Well how do you define "pilot"? Someone who the government allowed to fly in their airspace and gave a plastic card to or someone who is fully capable of operating an airplane?

i define pilot as somebody who is 100% legal to fly a areoplane
same way i define a driver someone who is 100% legal to drive a car

I have a student piltos license with a solo endorsement, ergo I'm legal to fly an airplane. Now, I cant take PASSENGERS until I get my private pilots license

Sure, but would you be able to go take an airplane right now (say you had access to one). Would you be able to fly from point A to point B? You see my point.

im not missing ur point. to become a pilot you have to have x amount of hours and x amount of class time. so i'll say no to ur silly question

Technically there is no such think as a "pilot license", what your talking about is a Private Pilot Certificate and he does not have it yet, however he is a Student Pilot (that is an actual document) so if you want to look at it from that point, he is a pilot.
