AR234 update

I would like to see the AR234 updated so that a rear gun position was added.  Not a position that you could actually man.  I believe that the pilot of that craft had a periscope he could aim the rear cannon with.  In point of fact the periscope exists in the cockpit art.  It would be nice if it worked.

Newer evidence indicates no operational Ar234 had the guns, so it is likely to lose them when updated. At least that is what the recent thread about it was claiming.

um, doesnt the Ar234 have a rear gun? a squaddie told me the other day he got a kill with it

I made a topic along time ago about the Ar234's periscope, and i believe it was determined that the periscope was never actually used to aim those guns.

It has a rear gun, just no way to really aim it.  Poke and hope.

I love dogfighting with the AR234. The overall effectiveness of the gun with anyone who doesn't know how to aim it goes down drastically. If anyone wants to destroy the 234, they only have to learn how to not get on the six, and figure out when that tail is mysteriously coming towards you.

Wrong. You can aim.

I'm talking about aiming the gun independently from the plane.  Not using F3 mode, looking back and moving the plane around.   :lol
