Just a wolf spider.  Harmless, but they like to rush out at you which gives a fabulous startle effect.

My cat likes them...they are nice and crunchy.  But he also catches and eats flies too.  Never thought a cat could swipe a fly out of the air....

lol i have a Mini Dachshund, Budwig Vondell Bratwurst (Buddy for short) he can spot a fly in mid air and give chase. its a hoot to watch him biting at the air, he'll get one now and them.
