« on: August 05, 2011, 11:33:21 PM »
yup i had a "fun" summer this year. nothing but rain in june, heat in july and moving once again in august. i think this was the worst summer yet.  :bhead would have rather gone out and partied with my friends but almost every single one of them headed off to miami or hawaii or some other place. i went to 6 flags and thats it. so, how was your summer?

No trip to Six Flags (or anywhere else).  I worked when work was available, in the heat.  Now work has slowed to a trickle.  Maybe I will make enough to survive the winter.  A lot of people are much worse off.  You sure got a raw deal.  I shall pray that you will be partying with your friends in Hawaii soon.

Yep, I was going to say I spent my summer working full time and part time at another job.  No fun but I'm happy to be getting the paycheck.

oshkosh is a boring town. EAA is done with and all the other places i could apply for are "to far away". my mom doesnt want me going more than 2 miles, and that 2 miles ends right at the bridge leading downtown.

Gee...somehow I can't just seem to be able to fathom any sort of sympathy for your lack of a fun summer.  Maybe because with all things considering, your summer wasn't all that bad after all.  I mean, you could have had major surgery, had that gone wrong which required more surgery which again went wrong and be laid up unable to do anything with no real end in sight.

Yep, be thankful that you really didn't have that crappy of a summer after all.

You'll eventually really miss the summers you get to be home all the time.

I also can't have any sympathy for you not being able to find a job.  You're telling me that Oshkosh has only a single business in the 12.5 square miles around your house?

yeesh. who put the cornolios in your toilet? i know that ive had a better summer than some people. but why would you care? i know my summer was the worst to all my friends and all they want to do is cram it down my throat and make sure it bleeds when it comes out.

Went to Oahu, went and dove a F4U off of Waikiki, and was able to sit it the cockpit after coaxing out a Moray. Paid my respects at Pearl Harbor for my Grandfather's cousin who was on the USS West Virginia during the attack (dove overboard right before it got hit and survived) Also been working full time to have enough to pay for school this year, and cursing my younger brother for having everything for school paid for him.
