We were partnered with them at one time but we needed our own location.

This one is just over the fence from the police helicopters.

'Sparkles' of Signature in PBI told me I looked like Justin Beiber's older brother when I signed out the crew car. I was laughed at by instructor, friend, and citation crew.  :o

Will not be referring them business.

Which one goes by Sparkles?  I sent them a text and none of them know.  There's a Sparkle down at Galaxy they say.

I would've laughed at you too  :lol.

Ah, perhaps it was galaxy. We seem to switch between signature or galaxy for fueling at various places so I often confuse the two.

You never forget meeting a sparkle though  :noid

Back in the day... When we would defuel one of our Navy recips (C-1A, C-131 or C-118), the fuel would be drained into a fuel bowser and was later filtered, and tested. It was then pumped into the fuel truck. If defueled for contamination, even excessive water in the tank, that fuel was used for other purposes, including replacing MOGAS in vehicles and equipment. They were running lawn mowers on the 115/145.. I would help myself to a few gallons of 115/145 AVGAS which we ran in our crotch rockets. My RD400 ran well on the 115/145, being a relatively high compression 2 stroke (72 hp out of 410cc). I had to avoid idling for more than a few seconds, or the plugs would load up. If I switched to hotter plugs, the electrodes would partially melt during hard use.

So rather than me finding you an FAR that doesn't exist, find me an operator/operation that does it.

Off the top of my head... Southwest.

Off the top of my head... Southwest.

At what airport(s)?  Who is the fuel vendor?  How is handled from airplane, to truck, to airplane?

Do they actually own that fuel before it's ever pumped into the airplane at that location?

In the case of Southwest pumping defueled fuel into a fleet airplane I've found that's less uncommon than I originally thought. I've found several GA operators that do it but they all use their own equipment to do so rather than relying on a third party such as FBO or fuel delivery contractor such as ASIG. Usually it involves aircraft going into maintenance, it always involves filtration in removal (something not all trucks that can defueling do) and also not reselling the fuel.  That in effect means as long as the same operator us using the fuel within a certain time then it's reuse is fine.

However for your average GA pilot and FBO serving a

Is that the shop the owner of I think it's Big Sky aviation has also?  My coworker went down there to pay a bill while I was overseeing some other maintenance on our airplane and he saw numerous Corvettes of varying vintages and other such fun toys.

If you don't mind we'll look you up this year.  We practically live in PBI in the winter into April (10 out of 12 weekends last year) and my coworker races a C5 Convertible.  Now that he's back to being NA he runs the 11.50 index but when he was using spray ran comfortably in the 10's.

At any rate we'll figure something out.  We used to like karting up at PBIR until they jacked the prices through the roof last year.  We've rented one of the Hertz Corvettes and made passes in that as well.  We're on corvetteforum and we've been to a few cruise ins down there as well.

Beats me

The father of the owner of big sky/top flight auto restoration owns a very large portion of PBI and his hugely wealthy so it's possible the old man owns tons of airport property nationwide.
