Either.  They are HS courses.  Just earn a good grade regardless of what you take.

You start over once you graduate from HS anyways.

My school had a drafting/shop class, but this sounds like it's only a drafting class.  Not sure what the metal construction entails but if you're able to learn some soldering or even welding, it may come in handy later in life.  Soldering is a handy little skill to have.  I can make two pieces of metal stick together with an arc welder, but it's not pretty, most people don't have a welder in their garage but a little torch is easy to store.

If you can learn how to draft things well, then what ever you are trying to build will end up looking alot better.  Especially when you transfer your drawing files to a c n c machine or to a piece of wood/metal with a print out on paper and some spray adhesive.  Youll be amazed at what you can design/build when you understand how it's going to go together before you even start.

architectural design and drafting can be a fun way to be introduced to the field of drafting. i was lucky enough to be able to take architectural and mechanical in school, the mechanical was more fun. we had to build working models of our mechanical designs.

i dont think anyone got the "purse" joke :rofl maybe because its kind of an inside thing...


...anyways, today we had a mini-day. i took the architectual drafting and design. i couldnt take both so i just chose that because its not on the other side of the school. once sept. 1st rolls around i guess im good to go.


oh and joachim, i carry a pillow under my gun  :devil  ..wait, what? :lol

Free Periods... less homework ( I know it sounds wierd but they cut off heaps and replace it with revision and exams ) people are more adult and less "adolescant" and above all...................

personally, I would do the metal shop. metal working isnt my thing, but it will porobably be more useful for me in the future. as MachFly said, do what will be more beneficial to your future.



and high school really isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be. its what you make of it, so make it worth your time.
