Maybe add words associated with politics to the language filter, although that most likely wont solve the problem in its entirety.

Why not just ignore it? Even on the forums when I see a thread about politics that I don't care about I don't open it. I understand HTC does not want it, but it's not like it's annoying to see people talking about it.

True, but what do you have against people talking about politics? I understand you want to squelch someone who says the following on country:

But just talking is a little different.

Is it because you see someone say something stupid and you want to tell them that their an idiot, but don't want to because you might get in trouble for discussing politics by HTC?

I play AH to relax and escape from the day.  I don't need some know nothing blabbering about how Obama is a communist or how Bush did 9/11.  Bumper sticker politics is sheer idiocy and many of us don't want to be forced to be tuned into the textual equivalent of Rush Limbaugh or Air America.  It does nothing but create hostility and raise tensions.

Many.  Unfortunately, one of them creates a conflict as Bush can be used in a non-political way as well.  "The Tiger is hiding behind that bush" = welcome to being muted.
