You own a business. Say a restaurant.
Someone makes a joke about how you are so cheap you stretch your hamburger supply by adding saw dust.
Some noob comes into your re staraunt after partying all night, eats a burger, and gets sick. He hears the rumor about your sawdust burgers, the joke, and figures it's your fault he got sick.
He tells all his friends about the sawdust burgers.
But hey, it was just a joke.....
I know Semp didn't cheat. I know Semp doesn't cheat.
But.....
Some noob who got shot down 27 times by Semp comes to the message board and reads his post about "cheating", or just someone checking out the game reads about "cheating" and gets the idea that the game and the company may not be on the up and up.
Lose a customer. Lose a potential customer. Sully the company's good name.
Get a clue.
