I can barely stand car shows, it's filed with pompous dorks that think their cars make them look cool when they can't even spell 'SS' ... So are race tracks afterall, but at least you get to see some action.
Dat jugs bro.

once in awhile, i'll go to car shows. the last one i was at, was a rather small one, at a local high school. i was riding with my friend in his z4 so he could show it off....we happened past the show. saw a boatload of old cars, so e stopped there. was a TON of beautiful cars from the 40's 50's, and 60's.

Was bummed about the lack of snow  :cry

We took Hebron Rd. (although it wasn't really a road, even though there were road signs) over the mountain.

Where are you from? I'm from NH. Just about 25 minutes from Hebron and Alexandria.

Hey car guy's I got a question . The hood and top of my truck has a film on it I can't get off . Like tree sap or something but every thing I have tried has not worked in taking it off . I tried rubbing compond and it even did not work . Do you think I can wet sand it then buff it out with a good wax ? lost on what to do about getting the paint to come back out . It's just on the top of the truck .

If it is thin layer you might try clay bar. Clay bar is your friend. It is easy and effective on your finish.

If you wet sand you'd have to do a very fine grit and do it carefully so you do not burn one area through the clear. Then you'd have to buff then wax. Lot of work. I do not recommend doing this.

Most auto supply stores.  Just be careful.  If you drop it, even once, it's all but useless unless you can pick out the dirt/rock/sand, etc with 100% certainty.  If not, you may as well use a rock because it will scratch as much.

Also use PLENTY of detailer's spray wax to keep the bar lubricated because it is possible to burn through your clear coat or paint if you get too wild without using enough lube.  Remember, the clay is abrasive and made from a harder material that your clear coat.

I usually wrap my clay with saran wrap and only leave the part exposed that I am putting in contact with the finish, that way if I drop it, the whole thing isn't ruined because I can slice off the dirty part.  I also store it in a zip-lock bag when I'm not using it.
