I agree with ya fugi, IMO spawn camping are for dweebs with no skill at all. They prefer getting kills the easy way by sitting at a spawn site hidden where you can't see them and blast away at any poor soul who dares to spawn at that site.   :bhead

Funny thing is.. the "best" tankers in the game, the very ones who have been called out as being the "best" are nothing more than campers.  Stop and think about it.  The "best" are not ever seen rushing an enemy town blasting down buildings or taking up a blocking position between the field and town, or even from 2000+ yards out from the front of a spawn.  They have to be in a position in which they have absolute advantage over a spawn point, and that is usually from the rear.

I cant remember the last time I saw any of the "best" at the island TT.  The playing field is too level for them, if they have to work for it they dont do it.

So.. I too ask the HTC do some very basic things to improve the TT on the Trinity map, there is no better TT available in the MA's, it is a shame it doesnt get used more.  But alas, there is the V135 spawn point.   :bhead

Why does everyone go in there, start furballs, then complain when someone takes the base that one side of those furballers were upping from? the point of the MA is to take bases.

HTC made a dueling arena for a reason. if all you wish to do is furball, why not go in there? Theres always a furball brewing in there.  If you want to GV only, why not go in there? Theres a GV area seperated way off to the corner for GV'ers.

I just think that, if your going to fly in the MA, you should atleast try to play the Arena like it was meant to be played (a War effort) Instead of half the country simply wanting to furball with another country while the third country steamroll our undefended bases because everyone is too concerned with the furball.

P.s: I do think the GV area in the DA needs to be redone. The spawn areas seem screwed up.

For as long as this game has existed, the only absolution to this debate is its continuance. Read back several pages on this BBS. This subject is in abundance.

How would you know what the "game is about"? You were in diapers when it started.

Odd back in 92-93, when I first stated playing Air Warrior on GEnie all we talked about was the day we would be able to play "war". Yes we did alot of furballing.... in those days. But only because there was so few of us online at anyone time. If you was around back in the days of AW 2, The Big PIC map had a so called "Fighter Town" on it. And the bases was uncapturable..... the players hated it, and it was removed from the map. Why? it got in the way of the war.

If you are gonna have three airfields uncaptureable by HQ and uncaptureable ports on some maps, the least that could be done is to make all TT Bases uncaptureable. Why should the fighters get all the uncaptureable bases but gvers dont?
