Love #1, not so much 2 and 3.
I think she nailed the composition and lighting with the first shot. The road works great as a leading line drawing you in, and the colors are perfect. My only criticism of it is that the corners are quite dark and soft (blurred) but I don't know if that was done intentionally, or was the lens used.
Not such a fan of the 2nd and 3rd. Lighting is great but composition is wrong. Too many leaves in the foreground make it seem cluttered and confused, I don't know where to look. If it where me I would have got in closer and just put one leaf in the foreground/subject macro style. Also the colors are way too over-saturated for my taste, especially with the blown highlights on the yellow leaf in the middle. I'd tell her to dial back the post processing a bit, a good photo doesn't need it.
Anyway, my opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it and is probably wrong. Besides... if it's just art for personal pleasure all that really maters is if she likes it.
I did quite a bit of professional work for about 5-6 years, for quite a while I was convinced that it would become my whole career. But in the last year or so I've become focused on other things and scaled waaay back with my photography, even sold my studio lights. So lately I'm doing more photography for my own enjoyment then for jobs. I have to say it's a lot more enjoyable when you don't have the stresses associated with jobs, contracts, releases, clients, deadlines etc. To be honest I liked the photo part, but hated and sucked at the business part.
