BlueE and EZGlider:  Great plan and well coordinated and lead <S>  There are squads that just show up, there are squads that throw plans together and then there are those few squads and CO's / squad planners that take the time to plan and coordinate.  You guys are in that small group that does this well.  I was impressed when the first emails started 2 hours after the Op Ord hit the pavement.

Its hard to believe that that 2 separate flights in a single attack lifting at different times and taking different routes could converge on a single CV Task Group within 30 seconds of each other 100 miles away.  It took a great plan and good control and coordination to pull that off.  Luck maybe, but I believe you make your own luck.

Jokers Jokers and found the CV right on time, reported it quickly.  Your other TBM's flew quietly right along with ours and close and tight formation.  Sighted and then spread out into attack formation just like our squad.  A pleasure to fly with.

VMF-222 stayed right with us 18K above the NOE flight the entire way.  No easy task when you can't see what your escorting for 100 miles.  We lost more TBM's to the flack than the fighters.  Great escorting job and covering us all of the way home.  We landed about 5 minutes ahead of you.

In the end this allowed 2 of the 13 325th Torpedo's to hit their marks (CV and a DD) as the IJN Admiral put his Task Group into some crazy turns.

A well planned and executed mission with a lot of C and C provided by the CO's, planners and many professional pilots and gamers.  Nicely done guys <S>  The 325th VFG would enjoy flying with any of you in the future.  Your actions make the FSO the "Special Event" that it truly is and why I and others pay $15 a month to fly for a few hours each month.

That was a good grouping of squads. 

I concur with Viper's remarks!  It is something special when the squads start communicating their attack within hours of receiving orders.

  Also and I believe I speak for every ALLIED plane that lifted from a CV in Frame 03.  No small feat you and VF15 being able to hold off the IJN Horde that attacked CV23 and your efforts kept her afloat.  Otherwise no one would have landed as CV23 was the last CV standing.

  I don't know how many planes diverted to CV23 in the end to tower out but every plane that landed received a +2 point landing bonus for the ALLIED side.  Your squad probably saved as many points as any of the Strike Packages gained in their attacks!!!  And I am sure I am correct if at least 20 ALLIED planes (40 points) landed there at the end.

  And having defended twice I know it isn't easy to fight and win out numbered 4 or 5 to 1 regardless of the plane sets or what your up against.  No small feat!!  Nicely Done Sir, Nicely Done <S>

Gents <S>  I am sorry for the delay but I must have over looked this thread by mistake.  Just a little communication proves it goes a long way within the FSO orders for a frame.  I sure hope that some day again we can fly as a group in which ever type of mission we get.  It definetly was one of the most exciting frames to me that I can recall.  To watch a plan actually do what it was meant to do.
