I must need glasses.  Didn't see 8800GTS.  Anywhere near 8800 ultra or 9800 GX2?

See my edit above.  They archive the charts from prior years.

Thanks.:salute   My card runs 59fps with everything maxed (no shadows).  With the price of some of these cards, I hope an upgrade is in the distant future.

Getback,
if you want a real cheap yet semi-decent card, get a 6570. It has the same specs as the 6670. The only difference is in the core clock, but you can adjust it yourself. Its WAY stronger than the 6450, plz dont buy that card.
However, i would get a 6950, but its at the 250 bux range. It has unlockable components (with a bios update), can be turned into an almost-6970.
Best wishes!

I don't necessarily want a low profile card. I was just trying to go cheap.

I'm starting to lean towards one card. I want the crossfire but limited funds. Also I worry that if I buy one card now it won't be available when I get ready to add the second card.
