Default skin like void.bmp.?

Sometimes default skin too dark or too bright
I can not see. Where are the lines and rivets.
Because of, I need a lot of time for this
Il2 Sturmovik have a file. Void.bmp.
Why we do not have a similar file?

Correct me if i am wrong, but  does not the bump map now give you all the panel lines and rivets that you need.

HTC have just saved us a tremendous amount of time. Take the bump map, duplicate it as many times as you need, and waah lah..

Would folks actually do the work themselves, or just splash some color on top of the void, change the opacity so the stuff below shows through, and call it a skin?

I've seen a number of bad IL2 skins done that way.

You also don't have to use the default AH skins for panel lines. You can go from your own researched templates (i.e. you find your own 3-way views that you think are accurate). I've done that a number of times, and so have a number of other skinners. Sometimes ya just don't trust the panel lines on the defaults :)
