it would involve AvA for sure. . .that has the most potential for improvement.
Indeed.
An Axis vs Allies arena with very good AI including GV's so that large missions and counter missions with formations of bombers, tank columns etc could launch at several times throughout the day.
The AI slots are replaced by players who join the missions, (even if they are in progress) the AI just augment and fill in so that the missions can always run regardless of how many players join.
The player will never know what he will run into when he joins a mission. Escort and interceptor slots will fill with real players first so the majority of AI will be bombers and GV's but real players can replace any AI slot.
So basically Combat Tour lite.

Other than the above, I'd like to see the following enabled for AvA.
Ability to pin a custom table to terrains that would hold during a reset and map rotation. Ability to choose a group of terrains and set the order in which they would rotate.
Additional parameters for winning the war, for example, percentage of enemy strats destroyed, number of enemy killed, certain key bases captured, combinations of these etc.
A usable perk system that would allow perk costs to be changed according to setup. For example be able to perk the 109F in an early war setup where the main AC would be the 109E.
Ability to set eny values for certain AC, so that we can set eny to automatically prevent 3 or 4 guys on the same side from having troop transports available to pork undefended bases in an otherwise empty arena.
Ability to choose between unlimited and finite numbers of certain aircraft to be able to model attrition. For example, be able to enable only 10 me-262's so that once they are destroyed there are no more for the length of the scenario or whatever period of time the CM determines.
A modified FSO type logging program so that we can track stats/scores for the week long length of our setups rather than by tour/month.
