It may be a fight, but its not what you would call a 'healthy' fight. Infact, its only a fight for the few people that get a chance to engage one of the few defenders that make it up before a cap is put in place.
Massive hordes are hard to contest, since no matter how good you are, you can't fight 4:1 odds forever. Well planned missions are hard to contest, because asside from someone spotting it through pure dumb luck, theres no effective defense.
IMO, hordes and mega-missions are not actually trying to start fights, contrary to what the people in them say, the main goal of hordes and mega missions is actually to "Winz teh WaRz sos I can gets mah perks

" with the absolute least amount of actuall fighting possible.
This is a combat semi-simmulation, with the game play centered around combat, with the map scaling, and even fuel burn rate specificly tailored to improve fights. But no, instead of actually doing what they're spending $180 dollars a year for, they decide to try to AVOID what they're paying for.
Sorry to all war-win twits out there, but I can't thing of anyway you can try to pitch that to us without looking stupid.
