One of the best fights I've had. Not sure if you remember it, but it devolved into a rolling scissors, then back to a looping fight, and back and forth for about 10 mins.

It is true that for many, that is AH. If that were the case all the time though, most would have long left AH. As I have stated before in other threads, "Horde or be Horded", and other similar mentalities will ultimately undo the game as there lacks  a clear association with risk vs reward. As such, most would get bored and leave within 6 mo and when there is a small market to start with, the game would die.

What Changeup said. There's plenty of people in the LW arena that are not looking for the horde mentality.
If you can pull them away from a group a great duel will ensue. It's those small moments of epic palm sweating adrenaline filled duels that make AcesHigh so good.
Once the horders realise how boring, repetitive and mundane real estate capturing is, they will venture out to become one of the higher order of adrenaline duel junkies.
They just need the encouragement.

Sadly, that only works for a few, for many it seems, the shear thrill of ruining another's fight is all they are after.

An extreme example: there were a few people who would wait in the DA for people to get into private 1v1s on the side fields, then up with the sole purpose of ruining it for the other two people.

In the MA, there are several people who famously wait for others to get in fights, then swoop in to deny either player of the satisfaction.

Horde mentality = Safer in larger numbers for they lack the skill to do what others can do on their own, or with a few friends.   Quantity does not replace Quality even though some may think it does, the way i see it is that when new players join this game and fly always in the horde then that's how they think the game is played and that play style continues to grow.
