I had this happen to me yesterday. I got a white screen of death (all blank) then the blue screen of death. Have to admit, I haven't seen a blue screen of death in a while.

I successfully took out an enemy cv with a lot of damage in my 26's. Each plane had a damaged engine. I successfully shot down a 109 trying to get some revenge. My other damage was a pilot wound and I noticed all my top gunners were out of commission.

I got about 3k from landing at a friendly field. The pilot wound took out one of my planes and that is when the blank screens hit.

I have been having this probelm as well and it seems to be when one of my gets shot down. I'm not filming so rule that out. I have even reinstalled the game to see if something may have gotten messed up, but same thing occurs. I guess next I'll just ride the flaming buff down and see what happens, but this is getting old.

I was in B-29s last night (11-30-11) and had a P-51 on my 6. He hit my tail gun position and I tried to change to another gun. It would not let me and then the game crashed to desktop. Box said Aces High Stopped Working.
I was not filming.

I run Windows 7 Pro.

I run Twinboom's Sound Pack  but have not updated since the 29 was added so I am using game sound for 29.

I have never had that happen before.

Unless something gets changed don't count on landing every sortie when u have been fighting from the tail gunners position. I've gotten bounced from the game in at least 20 sorties last tour in MW and AvA.

Then it could be TwinBooms P51 sounds that caused the problem in your case. Im not saying I know it is or anything but that it could be.

I noticed that at least a few of Mitsus sounds are in the wrong sample rate and bit depth. I looked at them after a squaddie reported discoes every time he dropped his gear to land. I dont know how that causes the problem but removing the problem sound files fixed the problem.

Happened to me today in B26s. 12-13 times in the last month.
Always when I'm in guns.

I've been using TwinBooms' sound pack for a couple of years now and have no issues with the game.
:salute To the sound guys that put all the time and effort into giving this game more depth.

I have the Ranger soundpack and have for years without encountering this before. I don't think this is the right avenue to resolve this issue as it happens to players irrespective of what soundpack they have if any. It became common place after the last upgrade~ something in the upgrade is overloading the system when a 6 o'closk attack is made on defending bombers. Hopefully they can isolate it soon.

my game crashing was caused by mitsu's sounds.  i replaced them with ranger's and havent had any porblem.  no sure which sound caused it but there may be more than one.

I've noticed a few times after shooting down the lead plane in a formation (taking out a wing etc.), I get kill messages for the other two planes soon after. I was taking advantage of this bug about 4-5 days ago. I think I tried it about 2-3 times.

I dont think thats necessarily part of the bug unless the target plane is actually offline already (game crash). A lot of times when you shoot bombers wings off of the lead plane the pilot refuses to bail or doesnt know he should and so you get the other kills due to his distance from them (proxy kills).
