Think it will be awhile before we see this again ->

<S> To all tankers, I didn't do it alone, Aron saved my rear bringing me supplies when someone shot my engine out, Hooter for covering me, and the knight tankers at 89.

I wouldn't call circle jerking, er.. I mean spawn camping a worthy achievement.  It is amazing what people think is "skill" or "fun" these days.  If you would have done that up in TT, then perhaps.

To each his own, I guess.

Sorry I am not going to bite into your attempt at Trolling, hop in a tank and enjoy a tank battle, FYI - Tank town is actually not harder then any other spawn, the key is winning against odds - and if you can land while being bombed every 10 minutes then its called "luck" rather then skill.

Anyone can tank, key is to stay alive long enough.

This.

and if you can land while being bombed every 10 minutes then its called "luck" rather then skill.

And that.
You got lucky in the fact that no plane decided to target you.
Rarely do you ever find a good tank battle, only on certain maps between certain fields. But once the amount of players involved goes over 15 or 20, regardless, it turns into a fight to see who can set up camp.

  the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I was extremely lucky the few bombs that came close didn't hit me, I already spent 180 perks on tanks at this base up to this point, whether it was bombs or overwhelming numbers we just didn't have enough to hold it.

And you are exactly right - the fight went above 30 easily on the ground for each side, we also had to split to defend 2 spawns.

I haven't had a tank battle like today in a very long time, regardless how many times I was bombed today I finally got rewarded for my hard efforts.

TT offers a battle field where wide open terrain is plentiful and sparse trees offer scant cover.  TT offers multiple spawn points where campers do not have the advantage but perhaps on the first kill.  TT offers long distances where the defender (camper) doesn't have a distinct advantage of using a perked tank to camp them retreat to land his "victories".  TT offers much more in terms of an engagement and far less of a circle jerk... er... I'm sorry, I meant spawn camp arcade shoot where the challenge is absolutely at minimum.  It is sad that more people dont communicate on 200 and say "meet me in TT", because Trinity has the best TT set up in Aces High.

Funny how you call me a troll, but yet you post that kind of "look at my camper score" and expect all "three cheers for vDallas!!!".  Sorry, no "hip-hip-hurray" from me.  I have plenty of enjoyment in gv engagements, the camping I will leave to you and your likes.

EDIT: "SWranger" sure does look like someone's shadow account.   :aok

That would be right...
Today me and BirdDog were tryin to have fun in the TT. We annouced it on every possible channel, noone came to join. Why? Couse there was a gv "fite" goin on, the same one Butcher got his kills in.
Our fight soon died out, it took a lot of time to find each other.
I agree Trinity has a real well-designed TT, but its all useless if the people choose the camping insted of flanking/moving/shoot n scooting.
There are a lot of "kamboocha mushroom people" nowadays.

But once the amount of players involved goes over 15 or 20, regardless, it turns into a fight to see who can set up camp.

The mechanics of GV spawns within Aces High means that any prolonged fight will become a camping situation. I'm not defending the current situation, it's just a product of how the game works on many levels.

Think about this, how often do you see a prolonged furball (with 15 to 20 players) over open territory between bases? As soon as one side starts to lose parity in the fight, the furball will always shift towards one of the weaker sides bases. This is because of a few factors like;

  • weak side player needs to extend and gain some alt before coming back to the fight
  • weak side player running from a fight he can't win
  • weak side player running from a fight towards help coming from a friendly base
  • winning side chasing kills

WARNING: Deep Philosophical Thoughts Ahead
So it's not just GV's that see a shift where the fight is happening but a progression of how fights develop in Aces High. If you watch some of the really good sticks fighting in furballs, you'll see that some of them are conscious of these traits. And they will hold their position when they are winning a fight just to allow the bad guys to come out to them. But most average pilots will chase the few targets left when they are winning just to get the kill.

Or you can think of it like this;

WARNING: Shallow Generalization Ahead
Getting killed in a GV at a spawn that's camped, is the same as getting vulched on the runway.

It all depends on the mood you're in.  ;)
