Drop Tanks for the Typhoon?

Has there been a ruling on this from HTC? Are there going to be drop tanks available for the Typhoon in the next patch?

Someone please find a pic with the Typhoon equipped with drop tanks and post it here.

Another pilot mentioned this as well.  He says he has photos of two different sizes of drop tanks on the Typhoon but no scanner.

I think Typhoons had DT. If you look at the "Typhoon and Tempest aces of WW2" by Osprey in profiles section, you'll see some planes equiped with the underwing DT (at least those things look like DT). But problem is that underwing DT means no rocket/bomb loadout that can be carried...

Damn autotanks switching that's what happened to me - flying a Tyff, minding my own business when the needle suddenly hit zero! I was about to start whining (HT was on) but then it switched to another tank   .

But seriously:

D. Mondey's Concise Guide to British Aircraft of WWII has pictures of Tempest Vs with underwing DTs. It also says that in order to increase range Hawker had to enlarge fuselage fuel tank in Tempest to compensate for loss of wing tanks (thinner wing than Typhoon) - maybe Tyff had adequate range without DTs?

Scrap that - Jane's All of the World Aircraft 1945, p.46c:

"The Typhoon can also be fitted with racks to carry two 500lbs or two 1000 lb bombs one under each wing. Alternatively, auxiliary drop fuel tanks each of 45 gallons capacity may be fitted to increase the range."

I posted about the drop tanks.
I said I had heard they could carry 45 or 90 imp gal tanks, but I only have 1 picture.
It shows armourers putting a tank onto a typhoon. The tank appears to be connected directly under the inboard cannon, and there are 2 rockets as well, the first of them directly under the outer cannon.
The rounded front of the tank sticks out in front of the wing, and the rear of the tank seems to be a bit ahead of the back of the wing, so overall it seems the tank is as long as the wing is broad. I dion't know what capacity that is.
When I posted this Hitech or somebody from HTC said that the tanks should be included soon, but there was no answer when I asked if we could have tanks and rockets together.

I think that Typhoon should get DT so I can finally do some real deep strike missions   But then, if you can have DT, but no bombs or rockets, Typhoon becomes pretty much useless - 4 20mm canons are good, but if you take DT that means you are about to fly a long mission and it won't be tank busting. So we need DT AND ability to carry some external ordinance, or we don't need DT at all.

Found some info in some books I have. Forgive my ignorance but what variant of Typhoon do we have?

"The Illustrated Directory of Fighting Aircraft of World War II" (ISBN 1-84065-092-3) Page 50 states in the perfromance chart that range with bombs was510 miles and with drop tanks 980 miles.

"Aircraft of World War II" (ISBN 1-84084-329-2) Pages 166 & 167 has details on the Typhoon Mk 1a and Mk 1b, the Mk 1a has no reference for it regarding drop tanks but the Mk 1b has its maximum range with drop tanks as 980 miles.

That appears to be a 44 gallon Hurricane droptank. It is rounded at both ends.

There was also another type of 45 gallon tank used on the Typhoon/Tempest, which had a teardrop profile.
