I Just visited with Mrs. Dell again. Seems she is faced with having Kenney go to a rehab facility or an assisted living facility. He is very confused and upset about losing his independence. I can relate to this first hand vis a vie what I had happen to me laast March (almost died). It seems Kenney is being very mean to his nurses and hospital staff. He sleeps a lot, and remains disoriented and babbles. His brain scans came back OK, but it is possible his medications are a contributing factor.
Mrs. Dell continues to appreciate the prayers and support. She is becoming frustrated, as I'm sure Kenney is. That is all!

As with all things the elderly bodies metabolize medications very slowly, with decreased liver & kidney functions all the garbage gets cleaned up & out slower. Anesthesia is the worst. I've had older folks who were sharp minded immediately before the surgery, who woke delirious, and stayed that way for weeks, with nothing more to blame than anesthesia.

Hope he feels better...anger is very normal.
