I'm a fan of the B-25C. I enjoy taking it up in the MAs... it's a blast in scenarios, etc... But that -J would REALLY be a lot more survivable in the MA environs where the rear guns could give you a fighting chance. The -25C is fun but if you're caught in the LWA it's almost surely a death sentence!

While they're at it they can look into the titanium armor the plane has... Seems to take dozens of 20mm before it takes any damage. I've hit multiple 37mms into one before, as well. Even hit the engine with a 37mm (P-39) and not even an oil leak. Hosed it repeatedly with 4x20mm Fw190A8 and nothing. Check the film, see the screenshots, all the hits land. It just soaks up ammo. Unloaded 1500 7mm rounds from A6M2 into the SAME SPOT of the wing root (he was in the bomb sight) and never even damaged him. I know there's "tough" ... and I know the 7mm are "weak".... but I was holding a solid bead of hitsprites on the same spot for about a minute straight. Sheer volume of weight should have destabilized the plane from all the bullets it was carrying!

I'm a big fan of the B-25C myself. That's the main reason I want the -J added. :)
I'm not sure if there are any engine differences between the -C/-J but yes it would be a lot more survivable in the main arenas.  :)

B-25 seems to be the toughest bullet sponge in the game, IMO.

x2. I had a 262 on my butt in a B-25 and managed to shoot him down with my top turret before his cannons did enough damage to bring me down.

Not when I'm flying it

So what the request really is amounts to wanting tail guns and formations correct?

So how bout a Marine PBJ-1D instead?  Nice single 50 in the tail.

Most of the RAAF added the tail & waist gun packages to their. C-D models.

As did the Dutch

It doesn't have 12 forward-firing Brownings in the solid-nose version.

:D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

The -J model also has the top turrent moved closer to the front of the plane. I have read that the crew would point the top guns forward for more firepower in strafing runs.

Folks seem to want formations though.  With the strafer nose it's not much different then the B25H which has the same airframe from the front of the cockpit back.

If you want the 8 gun nose package, how bout a late in the game B25G? :)

The PBJ1J has a 8 gun package plus 4 more on blisters. The PBJ1J is a Marine B-25J
