The idea is not what we need more or less of but it's that we need more of everything.  That's one of the draws to the game is that you can fly every plane and drive every vehicle.

+1 to add B-25J

Well, if that's the case, economy dictates just one wishlist thread. 'ATTN HTC - more of everything! Please!'

For the B-25J it's a no-brainer... It's like having a P-51B but no P-51D. It shares most of the shape (the 3D graphics) and most of the performance, but has different weapons options.

As far as new additions go, this would be a fraction of the work of a new one, methinks. All the textures are laid out, most of the shapes (you can stick the B-25H fuselage on there and add the nose from the B-25C).

If you're worried about what else they could be working on, Arlo, this particular request is one of the easier things to do.

But ... but .... we need more of everything ... I was told. Practical requests being ... well .... more practical. One more model of B-25, yeah, easier than modeling a whole new P-61.  :D

What exactly did 'Glide Torpedoes' do? Where they different from other torpedoes?

Warthog

This is the GT-1 Glide Torpedo that was operationally combat tested in the last couple of weeks of the war in the Pacific.

After the torpedo attacks by B-26s in Midway and Alaska, the USAAF came to the conclusion that using medium level bombers as torpedo attack planes left them too vulnerable on their attack runs by ship AAA and fighters and was considered to be a waste of valuable resources, so the practice stopped.  After this, no more B-26 crews or other medium bomber crews were trained how to drop torpedoes.

By developing a glide torpedo, it would allow bomber crews to drop the torpedo outside of effective range of ship AAA guns.  The bomber would drop the glide torpedo at 10,000ft and glide towards the target.  Once the glide torpedo would hit the water, explosive bolts would blow off the paravane and the torpedo would then execute a pre-programmed search pattern to locate and strike the target.  Because it was used during the last couple of weeks of the war, it was not possible to determine its effectiveness as the USAAF never saw the results of their attacks.

? Um ....

Those are relatively recently included skins, however it's only a B-25C (of which Navy/Marines recieived 50) and not (i think better for AH and the MAs) a more common B-25D (152 delivered ).  Also more common than the Cs were the PBJ-1J (B25J), and well, *cough* thread title.
