looping on boot up
« on: December 16, 2011, 08:49:18 AM »
just recently i brought my machine into school to do some tweaking to make it run a little quicker (didnt have time at home, nor internet). did a rookie mistake and went to plug my fan controller in while the machine was on and running a registry check, lost my os. no biggie, installed a clean version of 7 my tech teacher had and everything was smooth as butter. after updation bios and drivers, updating windows getting my MWB, MSE, and speccy back i turned off my rig (class ended). next day i come in, boot up and it loops 5 or 6 times before booting. this was last week and continued to do so everytime i went to retsrat or boot until yeserday when i put my case back together. kept the panels off so i could unplug things if i had to until it was running smooth again. thoughts?

gigabyte g1.guerrilla 1366 board
intel i7-970 cpu
msi r6850 pe/oc gpu
g.skill 1600 triple chanel 12 gb (3x4) sniper series ram.

i would put up a dxdiag, but the bbs is blocked at school. to gain access i would have to abuse the rights of knowing the administrator password.

If computer no worky after carrying it, disassemble computer and assemble it again. Components get loose in transit.

I once met a computer whose frame was so flexible without side panels that the vibration caused by the fans loosened the video card, causing the machine to crash...

would make sense in my situation biz. with all body panels off the frame shakes like a leaf in the wind. its rock solid with the panels on however. and it isnt a cheapy case so that doesnt explakn the wobbly chassis frame. thank you much for the input.  :rock
