Yes, Chevy, Ford and Dodge all offered 15 passenger versions of their regular vans.  All had the same wheelbase as their regular vans until the NTSB mandated that they were all too dangerous (these vans were purchased by lots of daycare schools).

And here is a Dodge
(Image removed from quote.)

we have ford extended and non-extended vans in our fleet. i'm pretty sure that their wheelbases are different. i'll have to wait till i get to mcguire to check them....... we have a my range of 98 to 2011 in the fleet. the 2010, and the 2011's are 12pax.

Ant word as to why Ford is stopping production?  Perhaps they are making a "light" F150?  Bringing back the old F-100 idea?

Use the same frame but use a smaller engine, lighter suspension, and maybe short box only?

rangers actually became pretty nice trucks. i think there's just no market for a truck that small anymore.

Ford said it was because there was because the F150 is getting mileage close to the ranger's with that ecoboost engine they're now offering.

the ranger will live on everywhere but the US and Canada. The current version is coming from Fords Austrailia design house (IIRC).

sheesh!! ford too?

Ford does a prety good job of combining all of their resources to minimize variation between markets. It's not like they are taking a car from a different company and passing it off as a marquis name...

Ford, Dodge and Chevy all offered 12/15 passenger vans until the mid 2000's. At that time all three stopped offereing them for sale due to safety concerns.

Chevy now only offers an 8 passenger van (about the size of the old 12 passenger), however the same van has a lengthened version for the cargo series which features a streched wheel base.

Sometime around 2008/2009, Ford re-introduced the 15 passenger van once again. However the wheel base is only 6in longer than what the 12 passenger van is. In most cases, in reality, these vans are only 11 or 14 passenger vans due to having front bucket seats up front. I have yet to ever ride in a true 15 passenger van.

Dodge no longer even offers a commercial van.
