It wasn't a surprise attack.  We were showing the sector alert the whole way there.  It was a just for fun mission and we had fun.  We would have had more fun if more than 2 guys tried to defend.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

And there it is!  the real issue with the imbalance in Ace High!

Now ask, why only 2 to defenders? Find the correct reason and you're 1/2 way to improving gameplay!  :aok

the whole way there? A195 -> V140 is a 10 mile trip ... which means there was less than 3mins from buffs lifting to the first hangar going down.

the nearest airbase for defenders is 25miles away and requires a 15k climb over the mountains. anyone defending would have arrived well after the base was captured and your mission had all landed or bailed. since your bunch never defend the bases you've just rolled, the defenders would have had nothing to do when they finally arrived there. it would be a complete waste of time.

Not a long trip but usually when trying to liberate that field there's a gazillion flaks out to defend it.

a "gazillion"?

more like 6-9. and those are just on the field. you only need to hit the town you know.

Vehicle bases don't have towns Einstein.

Now sit down, open a beer and think about it before you fail even more  :aok

I'd never ask for or offer to escort B17s

30 B17s can fend for themselves.

yet you have 30+ P47's/51's/38's with you at all times, and say "fighters drop ords and protect goons/bombers". yes, i've heard that when flying past a horde.
