What kind of blower is on the C5
Picture is named "new maggie", so... magnacharger? I'd ask for details on the kit, except I have a G8 not a vette
My Dad has a Z06 vette that looks pretty similiar (that awesome electric blue or whatever they call it), but he tucked a blower under the hood of his miata a few years ago and I think he's still grinning from that little experiment.
Yea, when you retire in San Diego, you get a miata to zip around town for most of the year and a vette for drives over 50 miles and for when it rains. It's a rough life apparently, having to decide whether to drive the 200hp skateboard or 400hp supercar to the beach or into the mountains for the spring runs through "the twisties". I understand the miata club stops at Dudley's bakery so they can legitimately call it a grocery run...
Maybe 10-15 years from now when the kids head out to college, I'll put a blower on my G8 if I still have it. That ought to be loads of fun since after pulling the collapsable lifters from the G8 motor and just a little parts swapping, guys are getting 550+ hp pretty easily. A full-up supercharger kit, tune, and tranny/suspension tweaks for my G8 ought to cost well under $10,000, which would get me a really fun to drive 500+ hp 4-door sedan for under $40k. It'll have to wait a bit though... Kids are damn expensive.
