I decided to take her up for a spin today. What an awesome E fighter. I got four kills in it for a total of 10.25 perkies. She loves to dive but is slow to climb back up. Anyone else love this amazing bird (Karnak where are you?). I'd love to get some more tips.

Yes, the Mossie is a great E fighter.  I tend to use a lot of yoyos to assist in turning inside things like Spitfires.  With 50% fuel and no ordnance the climb rate isn't bad at a tad over 3500ft/min, but nothing to get overly excited about either.  The WEP is a critical tool, without it performance drops off sharply.  To extend the time with WEP I usually use MIL going downhill and WEP going uphill when in combat, unless I need to build more E in which case I'll just leave it on.

109s and Ki-84s are the fighters that I feel like I have the most difficulty with.

Hm. My first outing was with 50% and after 7-8 mins of playing around I was bingo fuel. I guess I'll have to cut back my climbing a bit. (I was at 10K)

I usually climb to 10-13k.  50% should give you more than 30 minutes of time.

Warhed is an animal in this thing too. I had a couple turnfights against him, and was impressed. I bet the mossie is able to outturn/scissor most of the BnZ fighters. Also, as yuo mentioned, can build up perks like crazy.

The mossies can hold their own against most planes, so long as you have a bit of energy to play with.

The 418 mossies did very well in the 2nd last Enemy Coast Ahead.

Pilots: 5
Kills: 14
Assists: 4
Deaths: 3
Landed: 24

I captured this pics in August this year at Air Show here in town. This aviation group is rebuilding the Mosquito after original prints,i don't know if is going to be flyable,but the wooden structure is impressive and solid;fast tough bird for this materials.

I think Glynn Powell is doing a wing for them.

Best AH Mossie guy I ever saw was thrila. Turning inside Spits and roping Tiffies were "two of his fa-vour-ite things." Anything inside 1 k from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock was a sure goner, I swear he could just think them dead.

Actually, I found the Mossi Mk VI to be an awesome boom-n-zoom dive bomber.  I dont use it for any air to air ventures if I dont have to, not that it cant I jsut have not spent the time in that role that I need to, I guess.  but in the ground pounder role, it is hard to beat.  Yes, the 110G-2 can carry more ord and has more cannon firepower, but the 110 cant dance like the Mossi.  :aok

The thing about the Mossi is that the combat trim will mess you up once you reach 400 TAS.  I kick it off above 350 when moving in for the attack.  With WEP on, it can grab altitude MUCH faster than most people think, it climbs very well in fact and it holds its E very well also.

Remember, the British 60 lb rockets do 187 lbs of damage, so when you are going to up a Mossi and dump all your ord in one spot (hanger, shore battery, etc), those 8/60lb rockets do almost 1500 lbs of damage vs the pair of 500 lb bombs doing a hair more than 1000 lbs.  Food for thought.   ;)

Had a former squadie ( NC ) that was a killer in the mossie, I watched him fight 2 spit 16s for 10mins and he waxed them both  :aok

I love the mossie, she is my fav plane in AH. I also happen to live in the town where they built here in the war.

Here's a couple more that'll make a nice difference in the way the Mossie handles:
First is to burn the LO and RO tanks first (Shift F to cycle to the various tanks).
This'll increase the roll rate a bit.
  Also, with over 3000 rounds of .303 to augment the 700 rounds of 20mm Hispano,
you're pretty nose heavy. Dump all or most of the .303s and you can save about
300 pounds in the snout.
