They must be unzipped in the sound folder of Aces High

You have to know where your folder is located first, if you did a standard installation it would be this:

C:\Program Files\Hitech Creations\Aces High

I use windows Vista where it installed it here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Hitech Creations\Aces High

You can use explorer to find it (right click Start and choose explore)

If you need anymore help PM me.

I don't know what to do.

I downloaded and un-zipped the sound package I wanted straight to the 'sounds' folder in AH. I still have stock sounds playing, even though it shows the downloaded folders exist.

Pretty bummed out. I somehow got custom sounds to work long ago, but after a HD wipe and re-install I haven't been able to get them working again.

you have to remane the stock sound folder to "sounds1" or something then make the sound pack you want to use "sounds" in the AH folder.

Some sound packs are different, some Zipped up the entire "Sounds" folder which you need to unzip this into the "Aces High II" folder instead, if the
soundpack has a bunch of aircraft folders in it then you need to unzip directly into the "Sounds" folder of Aces High. If this doesn't help, let me know what exact sound pack you are trying to unzip and I will further help ya.

you have to remane the stock sound folder to "sounds1" or something then make the sound pack you want to use "sounds" in the AH folder.

You can overwrite the existing files, although if you have the "room" I would suggest making a backup ZIP or RAR copy of your original sounds just in case you don't like some of the sounds.
