Fabric, steam guages, no GPS, and a tailwheel..

(Image removed from quote.)

Old school is WAY more fun than the g1000 IMO. I've flown both, and I'll take a Citabria ANY day over a g1000 Cessna 182.

 :airplane:

I'd have to agree with the tailwheel  :rock

I will also be the old six-pack as it is power-independent.  But on the right seat  :devil

Tailwheel is great - the cub I fly ended up on its nose a couple days ago. It's gonna be down for a couple months. Complete engine teardown and new prop. Might need a new engine depending on what the teardown reveals.

That is one of my favorite planes to fly.  :aok

It's an 8KCAB actually but close enough.

Nice.. The big daddy.. :)

I'm flying a 7ECA.. Only 115hp but it feels like a rocket ship compared to the c172 I used to fly.  :rock

I noticed  ;)

I love that whole series of aircraft, not very expensive and very very very fun to fly.

It cruises at about 135, yellow arc (tape) starts at about 140kts. As for soloing, it one of the owners personal aircraft. He bought it new but never flew it. When they brought it back here from denver to use it Only had 32 hrs on it. We can't solo in the arrow or Seminole either, but I think that is strictly due to insurance reasons.

I think the next thing that will top this when I get type rated on our t28 and my first time flying our c-123

If you want to solo those planes next time you talk with one of the owners say "Hey, if I come up with x amount of renters insurance can I solo it?" That is if you have any desire to. They wanted 50 hours complex to solo the 210 (I had 10) but I asked if I could solo it with renters insurance and an instructor checkout....and sure enough they let me.

Is that true or indicated?

indicated

Do you remember the true? (I understand after only one flight in type you might not)

Indicated does not really mean much on turbocharged or jet aircraft. You can fly high and your TAS will actually be increasing with altitude. For example on the 42 at maximum sustainable cruise would be 140 indicated, but by the time I get to 10K I'll be doing 175TAS. Then at 14K my TAS starts to decrease because the turbochargers can not sustain MP. At those altitudes quite often the winds are high enough to give me a ground speed greater than 200kts.
