Warbirds refugee has found a new home..HERE!
« on: April 10, 2000, 01:32:00 PM »
Hi,
Closed my four year old Warbirds account today, had it up to here (puts hand just above head) with iEN and their treatment of customers and the development of Warbirds. HotSeat began censoring my posts on iEN's forums because I did'nt stand in line with my pom-poms like a good little cheerleader and blow smoke up his bellybutton when I questioned why we had no real WBIII screenshots. Enough was enough he deleted 3 posts, the second warned I was this >< close to closing my accoutn if he continued deleting them.

I kept my account open for the last 4 months even though I only flew around 3 hours in total because I wanted to believe in WBIII. Instead all we have is a damage model that makes buffing unrealistic and nigh on impossible and gunnery and ballistics that have been porked around so much I don't think iEN know what they are doing anymore.

To cut a long story short I've refound my enthusiasm to log on and play, I log on to quickly check my mail and I can't resist the urge to pop into AH for a quick sortie. This is the kind of thing I used to do years ago at the height of my WB addiction   The feel-good factor is back for me and its in Aces High. The community is so different from the one at AGW where the WB community seems to have gone sour over the years, there's enthusiasm here and developers willing to listen to their customers. With the new release a few more members of the squad I belonged to in WB have tried AH and liked what they see, so we formed a squad, a detachment from the Tangmere Wing of WB and now we have 12 members in the squad. If iEN carry on the way they are maybe there wil lbe a few more joining us

Welcome aboard! I haven't quit WB's yet, but I have to say I'm in love with this whole AH thing, from the game to the different attitude of the people playing it. I still have friends over there, and that's one thing that keeps me from completely severing my roots.

Welcome Revvin!

Knights Shmights!

A proper RAF squad should fly for Rooks.

Revvin, let me clarify, in a Darwinian scale, Knights would be  upright walking apes, and Rooks would be  the pond scum forming on the putred water where the Apeman takes a leak. (   Funked!)

Sorry to dissapoint guys but I'm flying Bishops, it was the side  with lowest numbers and the squad decided to stay there. So where on the Ripsnort-Darwinian scale does that place me and my fellow co-horts?

Hmmm, that would make you the guy dropping the net (or rock) on the apeman pissing in the pond...Right at the top of the food chain ..after all the folks at the top of the food chain are smart enough not to piss where they drink

Apemen piss in one area, drink from another,;p.

Hmm, bish's, I don't have  too many rivalrys with Bish, so I guess I will say that your the dog that the 'Hunter' Apeman pats on the head. (No, not THAT head!)

Welcome Revvin!

Whether you like or dislike WB, you are welcome here. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Lots of friendly folks to help you here... and lots of interesting things for us all to learn at the moment. Really an exciting time for AH!

Revvin..I sure hope that when you cancelled you gave the reasons for it to IENs office.
That is one thing I made sure to do when I cancelled mine. Let them know that Hotseat is killing customer relations.
