Parafrags and a bribe to hitech
« on: January 12, 2012, 07:13:45 PM »
To the staff of HiTech Creations

Gentlemen:

i know parafrags have been asked for before but i sure would like them. Would it help my cause if the next delivery of blue bell cookies and cream was raised to 10 gallons?

more like bomblettes on a parachute so you can drop at low alt and get out of the blast area.  Why stop there though?

Perhaps the problem would be in the distance timer, maybe they'd have to be coded along the lines of a slow moving HE round than a bomb that needs to travel 1000 feet.

They used them up to 500lb size..

Another  :aok considering the new AA batteries we are getting..

When the heavy AA was too nasty.. Send in a low level sweep to para frag the guns and crews..

Would be nasty on Flakpanzer too with the thin skinned turrets..

I used to use them in another sim and only found them useful on gun emplacements.

It would be cool if they worked against enemy troops running for the tower.

They also worked against tanks in that other world.

I'll chip in a couple of gallons as well.  These things were made for NOE raiders.  B-25 just isn't a B-25 without parafrags.

Pyro mentioned some time ago that there was/is other types of ordnance is development.  So wait and see.  Maybe in 2 weeks?

I wish I had spent more time using the parafrags and skip bombs.

Screw exams.... 2 weeks for me, this week is all summatives.

As for parafrags, I FEEL like they're a good idea, but that somehow they would be abused... Like bringing a bunch of B-25s or whatever is outfitted with the ords, dropping them, then sending an orbiting attack, waiting until the bombs hit ground so that they have a longer window of time in which to attack before the hangars and ack are up.
