David.

Me209 never saw service. One was a prototype fighter, the othe was built to break speed records (its records were broken by some WWII prop fighters). Neither were racers, and neither were built as a counter to the Supermarine Spitfire.

The Me 262 was faster

No WWII prop fighter was faster than the Me 262, and only the Me 163 Komet was faster

The Bf 109 was the first fighter to use air to air rockets, IIRC (WGr21's).

The Bf110 came BEFORE the Me 410, that makes the Bf 110 the Me410's predecesor, not the other way around.

No WWII aircraft ever carried a 'howitzer'. Some, however, were armed with modified tank guns, or high caliber AA guns. But a howitzer is a different type of gun.

The Me 410 was simply called hornisse (hornet in german) it was never called the 'twin hornet'

Saying EVZ knows a 'great deal' is stretching a point. He knows a lot of his own BS, but not much else.

I'm not sure, but by the reciprocal arse-kissing being done by EVZ and david, I would venture a guess that one of the two is a shade.

wow.... you may want to actually take the time to learn about whats already in the game and is going to be added to the game before you start making wishes.

The Me 410 doesn't have any place in this argument (I have no idea how you managed to get that brought up in a thread where the main point is on speed either, so you win the "wtf  :headscratch:" award, congrats on that btw) because its already being added and it has nothing in common with the Me 209 besides the manufacturer.

And while your run-on scentences, lack of capitalization are making it hard for me to completly understand you, I get the impresion that you're saying I'm bitter, and that I (or we, as in the BBS population as a whole, not quite sure on that) should be more tolerant of ignorance. To that I say two things:

1) You've completly slaughtered at least 8 relativly well known (at least among WWII buffs) facts in the space of less than a day, and that number is just taken from skimming through this thread. I didn't even check to make sure I got all of them. If you don't bother to use google, you're going to get brief, blunt answers at best.

2) We are pretty tolerant of ignorance. If you ask, almost everyone on the forums would be more than glad to help. But you didn't ask. You made a truck load of incorrect statments that clearly aren't backed up by even a quick glance at wikipedia (one of the scorned web sources here on the forums).

At the very least, go look at wikipedia before you post 'info' on anything. If what wiki says differs from what you think you know, then go quadruple check with 3 other non-forum or publicly edited website.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

:O !!!
Gee ... I guess those WWI biplanes using rockets against Zeppelins and Observation Balloons ... don't count ?
:headscratch:

Unless? I'm mistaken ? David lives about 1/2 way around the world from me ??? Dave ?

WOW..... if you think that you can't lie when you voluntarily state where you are in a forum profile, then theres no helping you.

However, you ARE correct about the WWI rockets, I wasn't thinking about WWI.

? Not sure WHAT where -I- am has to do with anything ...? -I- am in Tucson Az ... as it states under my Avatar over there on the left. Just outside it actually, 4th cotton patch to the NW, kind of in Between Pinal Air Park, home of Ever Green Aircraft (one of the largest privately owned collections of Operational Warbirds in the world) and The Pima Air & Space Museum ... Which is located near Davis Monthan AFB ... You know what they DO at Davis Monthan don't you ???

My apologies, I wasn't reading your mind when I read that ...

And you think people can't put whatever they want for their location? Some people have their location as 'hell', or writen in Hungarian. You could say you were from Tucson AZ, and really be from Main, and as long as you did your research and never got caught in a lie, nobody would know.

So what would the 75mm on the B25H be considered?  It was not a tanks "Gun", it was not a Cannon, and not a mortar.  What would you call it?

The T13E1 was a cannon.
