Bummer...  Ya get all nervous and stuff before hand only to have the flight scrubbed for weather...  Now you have all that extra time for your brain to play the worst case scenario freak out nervous game.  Good luck with it!

Yeah i was stressing a bit, but I feel better actually now I have more time to prepare. I was going to spend all day today getting ready for tomorrow including one last confidence flight w/ my instructor, but that's not happening now with 500ft ceilings and rain. I would have felt good going into it tomorrow if I had today to really prepare, but I'll have to wait a week or two now because my examiner is out of town next weekend..  :airplane:

What I did before my check ride was to do a quick take off and landing before taxiing over to the FAA office. It took care of the pre flight butterflies.

On my private check ride got weathered out, but the check pilot let me do the oral, weather, flight planning and reviewed all the aircraft log books and my log book.  We met the following Saturday for just the check ride.

At my third check point on my cross country which was a towered airfield, he had me do a power off spot landing .  He told me to fly back to my home base, had me do a few stalls under the hood and asked me if I was going to get my commercial. That was that.

Try to relax, if he asks you something you can’t remember, tell him you can’t remember but you know where to look, then look it up.  AIM is your friend.  Be Honest, he knows your nervous  if you make a mistake don’t sweat it. Admit it and move on.    Remember to trim, spot your check points keep track of your time.  I always tell my students that if it’s poor VFR it might be best to wait .  You want to be able to take off and see your first two check points if possible, while departing the pattern of the departure airfield.

Good luck and enjoy it.

When I was getting my PPL my checkride got postponed 3 times. First time was due to weather, second time was because I was feeling like crap, and for the third time it was postponed by a month because the inspector had a family emergency and count not make it.

My FAA examiner kept telling what a good job I was doing and how safe he felt with my flying~ hopefully you have that kind of experience too. Nothing like having an FAA cheering section to have a spectacular checkride :salute
