... is like the Germans not having the Me-110 ...

Not meaning to hijack but,

Or the Germans not have the HE-111?

To a degree, but not entirely as the Ju88A-4 can stand in reasonably well for the He111 whereas there isn't anything Russian to stand in for the Pe-2, Il-4 or Tu-2.

Thing is the He-111 is so iconic, and was such a work horse for the Luftwaffe that its absence is a crime. Heck, I even have a BoB patch from an AH scenario with He-111s on it! I have a patch with a plane that we don't have? Reason: It is the main German plane that comes to mind when BoB is said!

Its nice to see this very necessary Bomber finally getting its due. Some nice looks of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLs2qeDuuC8.

The speed of a Mossie, the bombload of a B26, the agility of the JU. This was a great bomber. I can just picture events with it surrounded by Yaks, IL2s, LAs, lend lease planes. Against the hated LW, With Soviet armor battling the Hun under them. It would be epic.
