there's a way around that too.

if the conversation is in a public place, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy, therefore, a recording could "accidentally" happen.  :noid

Also, isn't there something along the lines of all establishments provided a current and valid buisness license issued by the state board of commerce are recognized as public places of buisness?

Some mumbo jumbo along the same lines of beign issued the certificate under compliance and then having to maintain complaince to the standards for practice, else you loose your license to practice said buisness...  *shrug*

OK, do I need to come out and say it?  :lol  Any shop recording conversations will eventually wish they had not done so.  Of coarse, I am not talking about all the honest mechanics that are here.  Only about the others  ;)

How so?

There are literally thousands of companies that record phone conversations for "Training or quality control purposes".  It is usually the first thing that you hear when put on hold and the message repeats itself at just about 20 second intervals.

I have to laugh when I hear that too. They are usually the ones with the worst service.... but they are nice about it.  :rofl

You missed the key word.  Key word was "honest".

And the first thing I remind them of before asking to be transfered to a supervisor when one rep starts saying things contrary to another.   :D  Of cource, I get the option that sounded best/sweetest for me.

Finding a mechanic these days to admit in court that they're anything but always and completely "honest"....  they must be getting wiser.

 :O

I simply asked if you had a shop cam,a little digital cam to take pics of parts, the underside of a car or any thing that could potentially become an issue.

I wasnt thinking surveillance or the like but I suppose if you have a lot and customers cars overnight then I understand. It was the idiot who was blaming you that had me thinking a simple pic of the vehicle before it left the shop would have solved any issue.
