FIRST QUARTER-ANNUAL ACES HIGH ONE-ON-ONE RANDOM DRAW DUELING BRACKET THREADI encourage players of all skill levels to join this tournament of grandiose importance. This tournament is fun, challenging, and above all,
FAIR. In a nutshell, all matchups will be determined by random draw. This will ensure complete fairness for the participants.
To sign up, you are required to post your information in this order and format: BBS User Name/In game User Name. If you fail to do this, you will still be accepted to participate in this event but you will be docked one Muffin point for failure to follow directions. The points system will be explained in the
RULES section.
I will periodically post an updated roster in this thread. Please check in to make sure I haven't made a mistake in your in-game or BBS name or your status in the tournament.
Once sign-up is completed I will post the official Bracket
in this thread That's where you'll find your match-ups and post screenshots of your meeting. I will randomly select winners of each round every
3 DAYS.
Don't let the rules intimidate you, it is all about fair play.
Finally,
I need five volunteers and one lawyer; three regular, two alternate, and one lawyer skilled in contract interpretation in case of rules or points dispute.
In the spirit of fair play and to eliminate any interpretation of conflict of interest, I
will not be participating in this tournament.
Setting up the Bracket- Brackets will be determined by random draw of numbers from a random number generator in Microsoft Excel. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with this program, and its capabilities. Any disputes regarding randomness shall be taken up with Microsoft Corporation.
- The bracket size will accommodate the number of players wishing to participate with a minimum of 64 players. In the event of an unfilled bracket, random Marvel comic heroes and villains will be filled in the vacant spots.
General Tournament Rules-The winner of each round will be determined by random draw using random number generator. This will be done every 3 days.
-Participants are encouraged to meet with fellow competitors online for a sparring session or at the least, a pleasant meet and greet. This is in no way required, and the winner of these fights in no way will determine who advances to the next round, however it is encouraged.
-Additionally Encouraged: Participants shall engage in official greeting upon arrival to prove such a meeting occurred. The player who is on the
TOP of the matchup in the bracket shall initiate the greeting in the following format:
"Heyyyyy." The player who is on the
BOTTOM of the matchup in the bracket shall reciprocate the greeting in the following format:
"Hey," Each player shall screen capture the exchange, and submit the pictures in this official thread. Review Committee members primary job will be to keep track of these crucial pieces of evidence that online meetings occurred. In lieu of this evidence, random draws will proceed as normal to produce a winner of each round, however participants will be deducted Muffin points for failure to meet and/or produce official evidence of the meeting.
Forfeitures-Not allowed.
Points-Muffin Points will be given or deducted based upon the following:
+1 For joining bracket in proper format as described in previous section.
-1 For failure to join in proper format.
+1 For proper meeting with fellow competitor.
+1 For posting screen shot of meeting.
+20 For winning tournament.
-5 For losing in any round.
· Drug Testing-All players participating in this tournament are subject to drug testing. Performance enhancing substances are strictly forbidden, and will result in immediate expulsion from the tournament if any such evidence is uncovered through testing procedures.
